Second Annual Baucom Backyard BBQ ~ Friday May 4th
We are excited to have the band Bryan Drive playing for us during the event. Come on out and rock to 80s and 90s cover music!

Join us for a great night of family fun at the Second Annual Baucom Backyard BBQ. This fun event comes at the beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week so come on out with the family and picnic with your teachers.
Date: Friday, May 4th
Time: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm
Cost: $5.00 per person – CASH or Check payable to “Baucom PTA”
Includes: 2 hot dogs, chips, and a drink OR 1 hamburger, chips and a drink (please specify choice below), music, and hanging out with your Baucom Buddies.
Bring: Blankets, Chairs, and some extra money for dessert from Rita’s Ice

Playground Update and Buy Your Commemorative Brick!
For funding reasons, our playground has been split into two phases, Phase I and Phase II. Our Phase I funding drive will be ending Friday, March 2. The funds that have been raised with the Pepsi grant, matching facilities funds, brick orders, Pennies for the Playground campaign will go toward purchasing Phase I of the playground, which will be installed July 2012. Obviously, the more funds that are raised by March 2, the more equipment we will be able to purchase. We are in the final stages of choosing the playground. As soon as our selection committee has made their final choice, we will let you know ASAP!
Brick Update:
The last day to order bricks for Phase I funding is Friday, March 2. These bricks will be set to be installed ASAP near the front entrance of the school. Many people are ordering to recognize current Baucom families, alumni, teachers, and local businesses that support Baucom. Don’t miss your chance to order your brick!!! Pennies for the Playground:
I am proud to say that we have met our goal for our Pennies for the Playground campaign by raising $1,062.45! So far, Mrs. Campbell’s class is in the lead with $155.70 donated! But don’t worry, classes will have until Friday, March 2 to bring in coins. Can you catch Mrs. Campbell? Remember, the class with the highest percentage donated will be treated to an over the top ice cream party!

Silent Auction (Feb 10) and Science Expo Display Boards
Thank you to everyone who contributed items for the Silent Auction and has pre-registered for Bingo. At this time the Bingo event is full and registration has closed. We welcome everyone to come to the Silent Auction where there are a great number and variety of items to bid on and enjoy. Please note that items must be paid for that evening by Cash or Check.
If your student is participating in the Science Expo, the display boards have arrived. Due to safety requirements, large items like the display boards cannot go home on the bus. Parents may pick up the boards the night of the Silent Auction/Bingo or anytime at the office next week (Feb.13th -17th).
